“Good morning, Principal, vice-principals, teachers and fellow schoolmates,
I’m Macro from 5B. Today I’d like to talk about gun shooting. Now you might think : Gun shooting? Just like the dangerous gun shootings happened in America? Well, not really. What I’m going to share with you is legal gun shooting, aka International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC).
You may think gun is for killing people, but in IPSC it won’t. As the saying goes “gun doesn’t kill people, people kill people”. IPSC teaches us a safe way to use guns according to the rules, we won’t use the gun to peoples but to the targets which are made from paper or irons. The paper targets are marked as A C D Zone which represents 5 2 or 1 point respectively. Then, the Hit factor is equal to point over time. The higher the Hit factor, the higher your rank.
IPSC is very safety oriented sport. It can help develop emotion control and discipline. You might get stressed and overwhelmed during the match, then you need to control your emotions to maintain focus and make rational decisions. Some people will customize and modify their guns according to their preferences, so they can learn something about machinery.
