In order to arouse students’ interest in learning English, the English Department has
arranged a number of lunchtime activities for junior form students over the week of 9th - 13th
January.
Spelling Bee (Monday 9th January)
10 teams of students had to spell as many words correctly within the time limit and compete
against each other for the championship in the Spelling Bee Competition.
Winner: 1A
1st Runner-up: 2A
2nd Runner-up: 3A
3rd Runner-up: 3B
Song Dedication (Tuesday, 10th January)
Songs chosen by students were played alongside their written messages to friends and
teachers during lunchtime.
Treasure Hunt (Wednesday, 11th January)
Students took part in the treasure hunt which required them to finish various tasks at different checkpoints within the school campus and solve the puzzle in order to win a prize from the
Principal, Mr. Wong.
Game Booths (Thursday, 12th January)
Students gathered at the covered playground to play English games including Scrabble,
Wordle, Song Trivia, and Free Rice.
Movie Appreciation (Friday, 13th January)
The animation “Soul” with a meaningful theme was shown in the Audio-Visual Room.
